Safety principle. Joint locks and control techniques are taught progressively and under control. In the early grades, joint locks are studied as principles of control, not as power finishes. Every execution stops immediately at the partner's signal. With children and family groups, holds, escapes and fundamentals without final pressure are prioritized.
