Ildokwan Hapkido
武 — Mu, el arte marcial

흐르는 물은 썩지 않듯이,
끊임없이 수련하는 사람은 멈추지 않는다.

Just as flowing water never rots, those who train without stopping never stagnate.

하나의 길

Hana-ui gil · the one path

Ildokwan is a school of Korean Hapkido founded in South Korea in 1996, headquartered in Daegu since 1999 and present in Santiago, Chile and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. We teach a technical program walked step by step, from any age and any starting point.

We don't train to defeat another. We train to cultivate ourselves: so the body learns to fall without breaking, to move with precision, to coordinate and to hold its attention. Hapkido is a complete system — stances, falls, strikes, kicks, throws and groundwork — but above all it is a way of cultivating oneself through movement.

What the school stands on

Technique, tradition and formation

Three roots of a single practice, taught progressively, technically and safely.

01기술

Technique

A program ordered by Gup grades, with clear content for each stage: stances, falls, footwork, Sulgi, strikes, kicks, throws and groundwork.

02전통

Tradition

A living link with Korea: founded in Mungyeong in 1996, headquartered in Daegu since 1999, with instructors sustaining the school in Chile and Abu Dhabi.

03수양

Formation

More than techniques: discipline, coordination, body control and consistency. Hapkido as a path of personal cultivation walked over time, at any age.

The martial lineage

One line, from Daegu

The Hapkido we teach takes Kim Eun Sik, Ildokwan's founder and director, and the headquarters in Daegu, South Korea, as its reference. That line continues today in Santiago, Chile and Abu Dhabi.

At any age

No previous experience or particular fitness is needed. You train from the base, in a way adapted to the age and condition of each practitioner. Hapkido doesn't demand youth — it demands consistency.
